About Us
Our Supperclub
Gringo Supperclub started in August 2024 as an idea to cook for strangers in our home and we weren’t even sure anyone would turn up! After being featured in the Edinburgh Minute, 12 strangers came to our house for dinner on 19th October and it turned our lives upside down.
Watching strangers come together in our home and get to know each other has been fantastic to watch. we’ve seen people making future plans and swapping numbers and as a result of the success, we’ve kept adding more and more dates to the calendar!
We currently offer two different formats to our events. We offer an 8 course tasting menu inspired by the flavours of Latin America as well as an interactive Argentine Asado experience in our garden with a live fire cooking demonstration.
Outside of our home we have branched out into selling empanadas as market stalls as well as private event catering.

Who are we?
We are a couple with an obsession for food and travel. Having spent time in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina, we wanted to bring these flavours back with us to share and give people a unique experience that they maybe haven’t had before. Our name Gringo which is a slang term for foreigner in both Spanish and Portuguese is a tongue in cheek recognition that we are making food from outside of our own culture

FAQs
How do I book?
How much does it cost?
The Argentine Asado events are £100 per person, this includes a number of premium cuts of meat as well as a more interactive experience in our garden grill set up.
Can you cater to dietary requirements?
This is a home kitchen when not being used for a supper club it is not allergen controlled so trace elements of allergens may still be present. We ask our customers to exercise their own judgement on the severity of any allergies.
We also ask to notified only in cases of allergies and intolerances.
What’s your cancellation policy?
* Should you need to cancel, please give us plenty of notice, by doing so you give us time to find a replacement and if we do that, we will refund your deposit.
Do you permit children or pets?
We don’t permit any pets as we have a cat and a dog of our own and we would like to keep the peace. For any allergy sufferers, we do a deep clean on the day of the event and the pets themselves are kept away from guests to avoid any food theft.
Do we need to tip?
Why aren’t you on any review websites?
We want you to get to know us by word of mouth. It is our belief that your friends, family members and colleagues will provide a real and more engaging review of their experience.
Online reviews, while well-intentioned, have created a culture of rewarding standard service with top reviews (for example, when did you last give an Uber driver less than 5 stars?). This makes it difficult to determine where is good and where isn’t.
Do you work with influencers?
Influencers are more than welcome to attend but it is our belief that our product is good and our labour should be paid for. This goes both ways, we don’t expect you to produce content for us for free either.
Can I book you for private catering?
Yes! while we still have full time jobs we are a bit limited in the scale of this, but if you have an event coming up , we’d love to cater it. Send us a message and we can discuss your needs and pricing.
Can we come to Gringo for a private event?
Unfortunately not. We have done a couple in the past and while they have been fun, they don’t have the same feel as events where people arrive as strangers. It’s the same reason we don’t generally permit bookings of more than 4 people, getting to know people is part of the experience.
If you have any further questions please feel free to submit them to us either with a DM on Instagram or by using the booking form at the bottom of this page.
We recognise that supper clubs might be a new concept to people so here’s a blog post that we’re quite fond of that might give you some more guidance. CLICK HERE
Location
We are fortunate enough to live in the beautiful West End of Edinburgh on Grosvenor Crescent. We don’t reveal the exact number until you have booked with us. As I’m sure you can imagine, we don’t fancy posting our address on the internet.
Make a Booking Enquiry
It has come to our attention that some of our responses to booking requests have ended up in spam folders. There’s not much we can do about this other than ask if you are awaiting a response from us, check your spam!
If you are able to do more dates than the one you have selected, please specify in your message in case it has sold out.
